We wish to introduce the Digitronics eGovernment Hospital Package – comprising of Digitronics eHealth® System.

eHealth® is a centralized database of medical records to which federal health institutions will connect such that a patient can go from one hospital/medical centre to another and his up-to-date records will be visible. eHealth® is running live in Lagos State and can be used immediately.

• It provides contiguous and secured medical records database with fast and easy information retrieval and savings in paper and storage space.

• Referral is instant using the centralized database and inbuilt GSM alerts to optimally utilize scarce medical professionals and save cost to the patient who may not leave his local hospital.

• It allows Nigerian doctors in the diasporas to provide free medical services on this platform using the Virtual Hospital module.

• Patient Identity Cards will be unnecessary as the patient’s picture and bio-data in the database will be used for identification.

• New disease or epidemic occurrence, spread and control will be centrally reported and monitored.

• Approved medical procedures and drug information will be centrally managed. .

• Planning statistics is generated from real data.

• This software system was endorsed and launched by the Honourable Minister of Health on 20th October 2005 as the National eGovernment Software for the Health Sector.

• This Software is being implemented by Digitronics in fourteen sites in Lagos State.
